The Place to Play, is at Buccaneer Bay!

The summer season has arrived and that can mean crowded conditions on Florida’s beaches and attractions. With visitors pouring into the state and crowding up the roadways and beaches, why not tap into a great place within your own county that’s still a great hidden gem from all of the tourists! In 1982, Buccaneer Bay was opened with water slides, a lazy river, and a white sand beach for visitors to enjoy alongside the theater with the mermaid shows. Located inside Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, Buccaneer Bay features four water slides. Three of the water slides drop off directly into natural Weeki Wachee Springs.

Take in some sun on the sandy white beach or jump in for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear spring waters, the ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling. And no need to worry, there are certified lifeguards everywhere! To really kick back and relax, rent an inner tube and take a cool, lazy float on our natural river that slowly flows around the swimming area.

Buccaneer Bay Waterslides

Buccaneer Bay Waterpark is a true piece of Roadside America:

In the day of everything electronic and trying to get to Point A to Point B as fast as possible, people are starting to forget what its like to visit a traditional Florida roadside attraction. In this generation, roadside attraction may sound  foreign or small and unpleasant, but the Buccaneer Bay Waterpark is a great place to pull over and forget about your worries for a day.

For your little ones, you’ll love Lil’ Mates Caribbean Cove! It’s a fun water play area and wading pool for children six years and younger and a perfect place where Mom and Dad can relax as our trained lifeguards supervise.

When you need to take a snack break, you and your family can picnic in one of the many covered pavilions, purchase refreshments at our concessions, or enjoy a delicious meal at our seasonal restaurant. You are welcome to bring pre-made food for your picnic. Grilling/cooking is not permitted.

Make sure you pack a smile and swim trunks!
