Nature Coast Sharks Design Team, Crime Prevention Vehicle Wrap.

Deputy Woodward of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office had a bit of a quandary: How to design crime prevention vehicle wraps for a pair of Ford Explorer Police Cruisers with an admitted lack of artistic ability. When he was recently assigned to Nature Coast Technical High Schoolas the School Resource Officer the solution became clear.

It turns out, the Nature Coast Sharks Graphic Design students lead by teacher Trevor Barlow had the artistic skills needed to bring his concepts of “See Something, Say Something” and “Lock It or Lose It” to life. Deputy Woodward provided the vision, Nature Coast Technical High students provided the design and Illusions Graphics and Vehicle Wrapsexecuted the installation.

The result is 2 patrol cars that will be assigned to the Crime Prevention and Community Policing unit. They will be used when the Sheriff’s Office supports local events as well as actual law enforcement calls when needed. Now that is working together to solve problems!

Oh and another happy ending: One of the design students (Luis Diaz) had applied for a design position at Illusions and was hired on the spot!
